1. Preparatory Materials
1) Wire frame
2) Four rectangular pieces of paper
3) Four diamond shaped pieces of paper
4) 52 colored and 8 green paper petals
5) Paste
2. Method
① Candle part of wire frame is on the top
② Paste the short edges of one side of rectangular paper, not too much or too little paste
③ Fold the two edges of paper around the wire frame
④ Repeat the directions No.3 on three more sheets of paper.
⑤ Paste around the edges of one side of the diamond paper, not too much or too little paste
⑥ Stick it on the empty space between the rectangular paper
⑦ Repeat step 6 three more times
⑧ Let it dry
⑨ Put one paper petal between your second and third finger.
Paste the edge of the paper petal that is sticking out from between your fingers. Carefully twist the edge at least three times
⑩ Repeat this until you have produced 52 petals
- Paste Lotus Petals -
① Spread paste along the short edge of each petal
② The location of the first line of that the top of lotus petals slightly cover the top of the iron structure
③ The lotus petals of the next line should be placed between the first line lotus petals
④ By the same token, we continue to paste lotus petal lines. The distance between two lines is that lot petals of the next line cover the half of the former line's lotus petals
⑤ After you finish the 3 or 4 row, turn the lantern upside down to complete the 4th and 5th rows
⑥ Use the remaining green for bottom of the lantern, stick them on so that the pointed part faces upward
⑦ Turn the lantern upside down to dry
⑧ Your lantern is now complete!!!
