Yeon Deung Hoe on the Buddha's Birthday 2016

Yeon Deung Hoe held on the Buddha's Birthday is not only the Korean Buddhist representative festival but also the national intangible cultural asset no. 122. This year, it invited more than 300,000 people from all over the world and had them enjoy themselves in the beauty, diversity, inspiration and unique experience that the festival gave. 
The lantern parade, the highlight of the Yeon Deung Hoe, began at 19:00 from Dongdaemun Gate and ended at Jonggak at around 21:30 on Sunday 8 May, with 50,000 people joining the parade as performers displaying their joyful and beautiful performances to the public. It made all the participants united and joyful collectively together, watching, walking, and dancing altogether in the delight till the midnight.
